MySQL DBA

Duration: 1 2 +months contract

Looking for a consultant with the ability to set up MySQL master/slave replication, automated backup and performance tuning.

• Set up MySQL master/slave replication and automated backup.
• Perform SQL performance tuning.
• Handle database administration, backup and recovery.
• Manage user creation and management.
• Utilize MySQL Enterprise Monitor for monitoring and tuning databases.
• Train developers on best practices.

• Experience with MySQL 5.5 and 5.6 (upgrade recommended).
• Solid understanding of MySQL performance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the development team.

• Work closely with a team of about 10 developers.
• Only one DBA, collaborating heavily with the devs.
