We are seeking a Senior Application Scientist I to develop sweet product applications such as ice cream, baked goods, and confections. The role is based on‑site in a collaborative lab environment and may require occasional travel for customer visits and plant support.

We’re looking for a collaborative food scientist who enjoys working hands‑on in a lab or pilot plant setting and is ready to make a meaningful impact by developing sweet product applications. • Develop ice cream products that showcase ingredient systems.
• Lead product development projects from concept through scale‑up, including formulation, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, flavorists, and sensory teams to align product design with customer needs.
• Support production teams by troubleshooting issues, attending calls, and participating in rework planning.
• Assist with customer visits, product demos, and educational sessions.
• Run trials in the pilot plant and test for stability, shelf life, and performance.
• Guide and coach less experienced team members on technical skills and project execution.

• A degree in food science, food technology, chemistry, or a related field.
• Significant experience in sweet product development, preferably across ice cream, baked goods, and confections.
• Strong understanding of ingredient functionality and flavor application.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort presenting to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Working knowledge of lab and pilot plant equipment, as well as standard food‑industry software tools.
• A hands‑on, problem‑solving mindset and a collaborative approach to team projects.

The salary range for this position is $108,000 - $120,000. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.
