• A master’s degree in education and psychology with at least two additional years of graduate work.
• A valid certificate to practice as a school psychologist.

• Conduct individual psycho‑educational and academic evaluations for referred district students.
• Chair annual and re‑evaluation meetings for the Junior‑Senior High School and maintain documentation.
• Interpret evaluation findings and communicate recommendations at team meetings.
• Consult and collaborate with parents, school staff, and outside personnel regarding mental health, behavioral, and educational concerns, including prevention‑oriented approaches.
• Serve as a resource to school personnel regarding evaluation instruments and techniques.
• Review all students’ IEPs with the Departmental Program Specialist.
• Participate in behavioral intervention planning, including functional behavioral assessments, behavioral intervention plans, and manifestation determinations required by IDEA.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Refer students requiring counseling to in‑house staff or outside counselors.
• Oversee 504 placements, evaluations, and follow‑up.
• Share information with staff from workshops on assessment, educational programming, or other research findings.
• Attend staff, professional, and interagency meetings.
• Work cooperatively with community agencies involved with students.
• Provide consultation to parents.
• Maintain confidentiality of students and staff.
• Other duties as assigned by the special education director or principal.

School year as determined by teacher contract.

Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the Holbrook Public Schools evaluation procedure.
