Reports to: Building Principal
Job Goal: Provide special education students with appropriate learning activities and assignments designed to address intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth within the context of a self‑contained program. Develop and modify curricula and prepare lessons and instructional materials according to ability levels and in alignment with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. Develop inclusion opportunities for students.
Certification Requirement: Severe Disabilities certification and Moderate Disabilities certification preferred.
Performance ResponsibilitiesPerformance on the job will be evaluated periodically, in accordance with the criteria listed above as performance responsibilities and with the provisions of Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) policy on evaluation of Professional Personnel.
