Location: Davis Hill Elementary School, Holden, Massachusetts

Starting Date: August 25, 2026

Pay: WREA Salary Schedule, pending ratification of  contract

Position Type: Full-Time

• Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
• Certification: Licensed School Adjustment Counselor/School Counselor by Massachusetts DESE.
• Experience: Minimum of three years in a school or social service setting with school‑aged children.
• Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues.

• Provide individual and group counseling to students in need.
• Contribute to a positive culture and climate of the school and district community.
• Support faculty and staff with social‑emotional and mental‑health needs of all students.
• Offer social, emotional, and academic support to students.
• Maintain supportive relationships with students, families, and outside providers.
• Provide consultation and support to staff with crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills.
• Facilitate social skills groups and other relevant groups.
• Collaborate with the school‑based team to design educational services for students.
• Participate in pre‑referral conferences and coordinate referral services to external agencies.
• Assist school leadership in developing and implementing behavior support plans.
• Develop a school counseling program aligned with MASCA standards.
• Assist administration in implementing policies and rules governing student life and conduct.
• Assist administration in implementing district goals and policies related to educational and operational needs.
• Attend staff or team meetings and serve on committees as required.
• Perform any other related task or duty under direction of principal or central office administrators.
