DescriptionOriol Health Care is seeking a reliable and resourceful Maintenance/Facilities Operations Technician to support facility operations across our healthcare campus. This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership of their work, follows through on tasks, and can be counted on to keep things moving without constant supervision.
This position works closely with leadership and plays an important role in maintaining safe, efficient, and well-run healthcare environments.
ScheduleFull-time, 40 hours/week. Typical hours: 7:30am–4:00pm. Participates in an on‑call rotation.
Pay Range$22.25 to $29.03 per hour (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance across campus facilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, equipment, and building components
- Complete repairs including drywall, minor electrical, plumbing, and general carpentry
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and see tasks through to completion
- Coordinate follow-up on open work orders and outstanding repairs
- Assist with vendor coordination and facility projects as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant environment
- Support overall plant operations and day‑to‑day facility needs
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience (healthcare or multi‑building environment preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on problem‑solving skills
- Resourceful and able to figure things out independently when needed
- Dependable, punctual, and consistent in attendance and performance
- Strong follow‑up skills with the ability to track and close out tasks
- Experience using hand and power tools
- High school diploma/GED required;
Vocational/Technical degree a plus - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Lifting & Carrying:
Frequently lifting 25–50 lbs.; occasionally 50–100 lbs. with assistance. - Body Mechanics:
Significant, repetitive bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders. - Manual Dexterity:
Handling, grasping, and manipulating tools, equipment, and materials for tasks like plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. - Mobility:
Constant walking, standing, and navigating between buildings or different levels/floors. - Environmental Factors:
Working in varied, sometimes extreme weather (heat/cold), or in noisy, dirty environments. - Vision & Hearing:
Close, color, and peripheral vision (often with depth perception) and the ability to hear warning signals or, in some cases, communicate clearly.
