Assistant Housekeeper

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Housekeeper to maintain a large, contemporary residence for two busy professionals whose children are away at school but visit periodically. The ideal candidate will excel in deep cleaning high-quality finishes and handling fragile items with care, ensuring the home is impeccably maintained. This role requires organization, discretion, and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff while respecting the family’s privacy and maintaining confidentiality.

Flexibility is essential to accommodate the family’s dynamic schedule and occasional entertaining needs.

• Perform in-depth cleaning of high-quality finishes, including delicate surfaces and fragile decor items, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Manage laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing sheets, towels, and other household linens.
• Maintain the pool house and patios during the summer, ensuring they are clean and ready for visitors at all times.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for occasional parties and entertainment events throughout the year.
• Decorate for various holidays with care and precision, ensuring decorations are properly stored after use.
• Monitor and maintain commercial-level systems (e.g., furnace, AC, electronics) to ensure safety and security, reporting any issues promptly.
• Organize and maintain household storage areas, ensuring items are easily accessible and well-kept.
• Work unobtrusively, respecting the privacy of the family, staff, and guests.
• Collaborate with and report to other staff members, including the head housekeeper or household manager.
• Assist with light organizational tasks to keep the home running smoothly.
• Ensure the safety and security of the residence by adhering to household protocols.

• Proven experience in high-end residential cleaning, with expertise in handling fragile items and luxury finishes.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Familiarity with commercial-level household systems (e.g., HVAC, electronics) or willingness to learn.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work comfortably on low ladders or step stools.
• Discreet, trustworthy, and committed to maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate the family’s needs, including occasional evenings or weekends for events.
• Respectful and professional demeanor when interacting with family, staff, and guests.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other household staff under supervision.
• Experience with holiday decorating and event setup is a plus.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• References from previous employers or clients.

The residence is a large, contemporary home located approximately 20 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City. The Assistant Housekeeper will work in a fast-paced, professional environment alongside other staff members. The role requires flexibility to adapt to the family’s schedule and occasional entertaining needs. The home is a welcoming space for the family’s children when they visit, and the environment should reflect warmth and care.
