About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist (OT) at Highland Care Center, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized rehabilitation plans for our residents. You will assess our residents' physical and cognitive abilities, create strategies to enhance their independence, and empower them to reach their maximum potential. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping our residents achieve their goals, regain confidence, and maintain their overall well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' physical, cognitive, and sensory function
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address residents' needs and goals
  • Deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions, including but not limited to:
    • Activities of daily living (ADLs) training
    • Mobility and balance exercises
    • Cognitive stimulation and memory enhancement strategies
    • Adaptation and modification of environments to promote accessibility and independence
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal outcomes
  • Document residents' progress and treatment plans accurately and efficiently
  • Participate in resident care conferences and contribute to the development of care plans
  • Maintain current knowledge of occupational therapy best practices and industry developments
