Hours:
7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. At West Ottawa High School, the Attendance Secretary plays a vital role in supporting student accountability, safety, communication, and school operations.
Qualifications:
Experience and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite Must be highly organized and have excellent communication and clerical skills Experience in providing friendly and accurate verbal and written communication skills Bilingual preferred
Job Responsibilities:
Monitoring and maintaining accurate attendance records Managing absences and tardies Communicating with families Processing attendance documentation Supporting truancy interventions Assisting administrators, counselors, and staff with attendance-related needs Front office operations: student check-ins/check-outs, emergency accountability procedures, and state compliance reporting Building positive relationships with students and families through consistent, organized, and empathetic support
