General Description
:
This position is responsible for installing, inspecting and maintaining tires on company equipment. Actively participates and displays behaviors of the company values. Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Mount and dismount tires.
- Inspect trucks and trailers for flats.
- Transfer tires from storage.
- Removal of scrap tires from axles and transfer to the shredder.
- Record and compile “flats” and “junks” for VP of operations, as well as tire histories, tread depth, mileages, tire evaluations and tires transferred out for reconditioning.
- Requisition tires, rims and parts for repair of tire equipment.
- Supervise temporary workers and assist other mechanics as necessary.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Other duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Self-motivated.
- Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment.
