Primary job goal:
The School Counselor will support behavioral, social-emotional, and academic needs of students at the Holland High School.
Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher from an approved School Counselor Education Program. A School Counselor NT endorsement or a valid School Counselor License. Able to work independently. Organize and use time effectively. Shows initiative, but is also willing to take direction. Conducts oneself in a professional and ethical manner.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Part time Counselor at Holland High School.
- Counsel students on a variety of topics including future plans, current issues, and progress toward graduation.
- Contribute to developing the Master Schedule.
- Able to effectively communicate with students, staff, parents, and outside support resources.
- Counsel students on a variety of topics including future plans, goal setting, coping skills, and other related topics.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical demands:
Demonstrates the physical and psychological capacity for the demands of the teaching assignment/coaching assignment.
