Principal Beginning: 8/27/2026
Hours:
29.5 hours a week Monday Friday School Year/Part Time
Qualifications:
- CPI trained or willing to be trained in CPI
- High school diploma required
- Experience working with children with disabilities is preferred
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent, attentive 1:1 support to an assigned student throughout the school day.
- Assist the student in accessing and participating in classroom instruction, activities, specials, lunch, recess, assemblies, field trips, and other school experiences.
- Follow the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP), behavior support plans, health/safety plans, and other established student support plans as directed.
- Support the student in developing greater independence by providing the least amount of assistance necessary to successfully participate.
- Assist with transitions between classrooms, activities, and school locations.
- Provide support with organization, materials, following directions, task completion, and classroom routines.
- Reinforce appropriate academic, social, communication, and behavioral skills.
- Support students with personal care needs including toileting

Working Conditions:
- Reaching:
Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. - Lifting:
Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles. - Grasping:
Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm. - Talking:
Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. - Hearing:
Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound. - Repetitive motions:
Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. - The worker is subject to environmental conditions. The worker should provide consistent and reliable in person attendance.
