The Build Freedom Training Center Teacher Coach facilitates the expansion and enhancement of the Manufacturing and Engineering Education Reimagined for All (MEERA) program and supports K-12 programming associated with the Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation (IACMI) across the Ottawa Area ISD. The primary purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality professional development and industry-relevant technology integration to K-12 educators.

By equipping teachers with the skills to implement cutting-edge curriculum and hands-on learning, this position serves as a strategic catalyst to supercharge regional Career and Technical Education (CTE) pipelines and expose students to high-demand career opportunities in manufacturing, engineering, advanced composites, and related fields.

Working in close collaboration with the Career Education Planning District (CEPD) Administrator, the Teacher Coach ensures that classroom instruction and teacher preparation align with modern industry standards. Continuation of this position beyond the first year is dependent upon local career exploration needs and/or the potential expansion of middle school CTE programs within the state.

• Coordinate sand delivers MEERA professional development programs, including intensive summer training sessions and ongoing instructional support throughout the academic year.
• Coacheseducators on the effective implementation of MEERA curriculum and the utilization of K-5 STEM kits to foster early student interest in technical fields.
• Facilitatesa collaborative learning environment where teachers share best practices and advanced strategies for teaching manufacturing and engineering concepts.
• Supports the effectiveness of curriculum delivery through classroom observations and teacher feedback to ensure regional instructional goals are achieved.

• Implementstechnical assistance and consultation for advanced manufacturing equipment, including CNC machines, robotics, and 3D printers.
• Diagnose sand resolves technical issues andcoordinatesmaintenance schedules to ensure equipment readiness and classroom reliability.
• Leadsthe setup and configuration of classroom technology to ensure the seamless integration of industry-standard tools into the learning environment.

• Collaborates with local business partners and industry sectors to align curriculum with workforce needs and foster student career opportunities.
• Cultivatesrelationships with local school districts and community stakeholders to expand the reach and impact of the MEERA program across the three-ISD region.
• Represents the MEERA program at regional conferences, committee meetings, and industry events to build awareness and institutional support.

• Organizesregional student competitions and technical challenges that engage participants in real-world manufacturing and engineering problem-solving.
• Executesaccurate compliance and grant reporting as required by state, regional, and federal funding mandates.
