Summary:
The Associate Structural Engineer is a member of the ICON Shelters Engineering team. Their primary purpose is to aid in engineering and pricing steel structures available under ICON Shelters brand.
Responsibilities
Promotes the Company's mission and values-based culture through positive client communications, cost-effecting engineering designs, and engineering support.Engineer steel structures to meet customer specifications and ICON Shelters design standardsConceptualize and engineer steel structures using RISA-3D and other CADD softwareCreate calculations reflecting the structural requirements for a given projectReview submittal and fabrication drawings to ensure consistency with calculationsMaintain internal project scheduling and coordinate with drafting and production capacitiesLeverage engineering knowledge and internal tools to develop multiple levels of pricingCommunicate technical information to nontechnical audiencesParticipate in a team environment of open and active engagementGeneral familiarity with the company's facilities, processes, policies, and productsShare in a company-wide philosophy of continuous improvementOther duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.Competencies

Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited universityI.T. preferred, or ability to successfully obtain E.I.T. within 6 months0-5 years experience in structural engineeringTravel
This position requires minimal to no travel
Computer Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
- Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems

Requirements
