Client is looking for a Electrical Tech Team Lead that knows wiring inside and out and can lead their electrical/panel building team. This is a hands‑on technical leadership role where you'll spend most of your time on the floor working alongside 4‑6 electrical technicians, building panels, wiring industrial machines, and solving technical challenges while providing guidance and coordination to the team.
Location: everyday On‑Site - Holland, MI
Compensation: $30‑$33/hourly (OT)
Schedule: 40/45 hours weekly (roughly 8‑5pm)
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of hands‑on electrical wiring experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment
- Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating other technicians (formal management experience not required)
- Proven expertise in panel building and industrial machine wiring
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Comfortable debugging electrical circuits (high and low voltage)
- OEM (original equipment manufacturer) or machine builder environment
- Packaging industry or similar industrial machinery experience
- UL508A panel certification knowledge (client will pay for you to get the cert)
- Comfortable giving direction and holding team accountable
Technical
Skills:
- Ability to read electrical schematics (E-plan format used here)
- Understanding of UL standards and electrical codes
What you will do:
- Build electrical control panels and wire industrial machines using engineering schematics, bills of materials, and panel layouts
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings (E-plan format)
- Ensure all work follows UL standards and engineering specifications
- Debug and troubleshoot electrical systems, both high and low voltage circuits
- Monitor wire and electrical component inventory; order replacements as needed
- Assist controls technicians with debugging control systems
- Test safety circuits and ensure machine compliance
- Pull cables, run conduit, and wire machines according to blueprints
- Provide day-to-day guidance and mentoring to 4‑6 electrical technicians
- Schedule and coordinate team workload to meet production deadlines
- Lead electrical aspects of major machine installations and revisions
- Document all projects and maintain master engineering files
Occasional Travel:
- Provide field support for machine installation, startup, or service (1‑2 times per year, typically domestic)
