Responsibilities
Engineer II, Quality will manage the quality of cell products in ESS and automotive EV batteries. Responsibilities include identifying defects, assessing cell integrity, analyzing from cell product down to raw material to diagnose root cause of microscale foreign material failures, inspecting and analyzing aluminum battery pouch damage and battery insulation integrity, conducting battery safety and reliability cycle testing, identifying failure mechanisms on the final cell product, tracking SPC data to monitor in‑line product quality, defining CTQ items for root cause, coordinating material tests, validating improvement effectiveness, and performing product in‑line process analysis and diagnostic quality inspections.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related engineering field; at least 2 years’ experience performing quality engineering in EV battery production, including quality data monitoring programs, six‑sigma techniques, 4M process analysis, battery explosion tests, battery capacity and insulation resistance tests.
