Location Type:
This is an onsite role at our headquarters in Holland, MI.

How You'll Make an Impact:

* Operate Hexagon portable CMM Arm with touch and laser scanners using Poly Works software (or similar equipment and software).

* Operate Hexagon Leica Laser Tracker system using Poly Works software (or similar equipment and software).

* Assist division locations by using the CMM equipment as needed for measurement on custom automation projects.

* Prepare inspection plans based on part geometry, tolerances, GD&T and functional requirements for optimum performance and accuracy.

* Create, correlate, maintain, and revise CMM programs of various sizes and complexities.

* Develop and document metrics around CMM programming to present to both internal and external stakeholders.

* Provide data reports and visual reports, for all programs that require such information for Engineers or customers.

* Communicate and clarify the results of each measurement project to JR teams and customers.

* Advocate for the available CMM services and their value to the Divisions.

* Actively maintain knowledge of latest developments in CMM equipment and practices.

* Develop and exhibit best practices for CMM operation at JR Automation.

* Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion in accordance with project time allotment.

* Must be willing to travel. Travel includes local Divisions and customer sites in Holland, MI. Travel to other locations such as Nashville, TN, and Greenville, SC are possible.

What You'll Bring:

* 5+ years of related experience in custom automation, CMM operation, and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

* Associate degree from a 2-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience

* Experience with Poly Works or similar metrology software preferred

* Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and specifications

* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

* Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with a strong focus on safety and quality

* Willingness to travel up to 20%, including potential domestic and international travel based on project needs

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
