Job Overview

Pro Mach is seeking an Electrical Controls Technician to provide electrical and controls support for Fogg Filler Company products and services worldwide. The role involves designing, documenting, and supporting electrical control systems for new and existing products, ensuring quality and cost-effective manufacturing.

• Design and document new electrical product enhancements and modifications.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to determine optimal manufacturing processes for existing and new products.
• Work with quality personnel to ensure all quality aspects of product design and manufacturing are met under minimal supervision.
• Apply engineering principles to design products based on information from the Mechanical Design Engineering and R&D departments.
• Assist Controls Engineer-Level II by calculating electrical costs, performing mathematical calculations, and applying material cost data to determine total product costs.
• Review form, fit, and function of product designs using CAD and PC software.
• Provide leadership and support on major machine installation or revision projects, including wiring, conduit installation, BOM tracking, and machine startup.
• Build electrical panels, assist in machine disassembly for shipping, and test safety circuits.
• Document all projects in the master engineering file, ensuring BOM and electrical schematics are correctly placed.
• Assemble prototype products using power and hand tools, lifting and moving parts up to 40 lb during evaluations.
• Assist development programs aimed at improving cost efficiency and manufacturing workflow through testing and analysis of materials and prototypes.
• Evaluate competitive products by analyzing materials, manufacturing processes, product performance, and packaging.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and agencies to obtain product, part, and process information.
• Maintain clean and organized wiring areas.
• Travel to provide engineering field support for machine installation, setup, and service across the Fogg customer base and dealer/agent networks.
• Support Fogg customers, Sales, and Purchasing departments on project control specifications.
• Answer engineering customer-service telephone calls.

• High School Diploma;
  Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of electrical experience, preferably in an OEM environment.
• Experience wiring electrical systems in an OEM atmosphere.
• Proficiency with RSLogix 5000 & 500 and Factory Talk View ME.
• Knowledge of machine design, tooling, controls, field maintenance, mechanical desktop, 3-D drawing, Excel, Word, and AutoCAD.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong willingness to take on challenges and thrive in a collaborative environment.
