We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer I to work onsite in Holland, MI, and bring innovative automation solutions to life.

The Mechanical Engineer I is responsible for supporting engineering projects by applying fundamental principles, standard procedures, and basic technical skills. This position involves performing routine technical tasks with guidance, using prescribed methods and CAD tools while developing an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities. The role emphasizes skill‑building, teamwork, and effective communication, as the engineer collaborates with peers, staff, contractors, and the public to contribute to project success.

- Perform routine technical work which does not require previous experience

- Possess basic oral and written communication skills

Note:

- 1-3 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Creo, NX, AutoCAD)
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline
- Associate’s degree (2-year) with experience from an accredited program (ABET/EAC)
- Has primarily academic knowledge of a subset of the engineering discipline principles, practices, and procedures
JR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check.
