The Field Service Engineer III is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining robotic automation systems, control devices, mechanical units, transfer equipment, and related peripherals for customers both remotely and on-site. This role works independently to respond to service needs, document customer issues, follow up with stakeholders, and ensure timely resolution while delivering a strong customer service experience. The Field Service Engineer III also supports hardware installations, maintenance, testing, and customer training at client facilities, while helping develop support guides for recurring issues.
This position requires strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, proficiency with schematics, robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and blueprints, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 80%.
- Ability to discuss, diagnose & repair operational and process problems as reported by the customer.
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintenance of robots, control devices, mechanical units, transfer devices and peripheral equipment.
- Ability to respond to service calls/activities.
- Thorough documentation of each customer and incident using case reporting system.
- Self-directed to follow up with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate with all stakeholders (Employees, managers, and customers) to ensure that expectations are met.
- Actively propagates JR culture within engineering and promotes our capabilities.
- Learn new equipment regularly and support customers with a variety of skill levels remotely.
- Assist with documentation and “support guides” of recurrent issues.
- Conduct on-site hardware installations, maintenance, and testing at client facilities.
- Provide in-person technical support and training to clients and on-site staff.
- Travel to customer locations domestically and internationally up 80%.

- Education:
High School diploma or GED with associated experience. - Skills:
6-8 years of relevant experience. - Design, develop, and maintain complex systems and applications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to industry best practices.
- Proficiency in Schematic interpretation, robotics, electrical and blueprints reading.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting aptitude.
- Experience with HMI, PLC, robots and AutoCAD preferred.
