As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Convergix, you will lead the design and development of custom automation and robotic solutions, ensuring functionality, compliance, and reliability through detailed engineering calculations and robust design practices. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing design reviews, mentoring other designers, and supporting projects from concept through build, while driving innovation and continuous improvement. You’ll also play a key role in sourcing components, producing detailed documentation, and fostering a culture aligned with Convergix values.

This position reports to the Mechanical Engineering Manager.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Convergix, you will lead the design and development of custom automation and robotic solutions, ensuring functionality, compliance, and reliability through detailed engineering calculations and robust design practices. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing design reviews, mentoring other designers, and supporting projects from concept through build, while driving innovation and continuous improvement. You’ll also play a key role in sourcing components, producing detailed documentation, and fostering a culture aligned with Convergix values.

This position reports to the Mechanical Engineering Manager.

• Play an active role as a team member in the Mechanical Design Engineering team, contributing expertise, and collaborating effectively with colleagues.
• Capable of handling the complete design process, from initial concept development to detailed design and final review.
• Develop and design mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring they meet functional, performance, and manufacturability requirements.
• Oversee the creation of engineering drawings and documentation, adhering to industry standards and company guidelines.
• Stay up to date on the latest mechanical engineering technologies and trends, continuously expanding their knowledge and skills.
• Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and cross function team members to ensure project success, fostering effective communication and teamwork.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly teams, addressing design-related issues and ensuring smooth production processes.
