Director Of Finance

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance to strengthen and expand the financial foundation of our growing organization in Holland, Michigan. This position is ideal for a finance leader who can balance high-level planning with direct involvement in reporting, analysis, and process design. The role will partner closely with senior leadership to improve visibility into performance, support operational decision-making, and build finance capabilities that can scale with the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and refine manufacturing finance practices, including methods for tracking labor, materials, overhead, and overall program costs.
  • Create job and project accounting frameworks that provide clear insight into profitability across engineering and production activities.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial modeling to support business planning and investment decisions.
  • Produce meaningful financial reporting and performance metrics that help leadership evaluate results and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assess, recommend, and help implement financial tools or ERP-related solutions that improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Strengthen financial processes, internal controls, and data structures to support a more scalable and reliable finance function.
  • Partner with operations and commercial teams on pricing, quoting, margin analysis, and execution discipline for new and existing programs.
  • Oversee cash flow planning and working capital performance, with attention to receivables, payables, inventory, and overall liquidity.
  • Support compliance-related financial administration, including documentation for tax reporting, contractor reporting, insurance tracking, and employee expense controls.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting leadership to establish standard procedures and develop the team as the organization continues to grow.
