Landscape Design Services is looking for an Human Resources Manager to support our team.

As our Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving HR programs that support the organization’s culture, values, and business objectives. This role oversees all core HR functions, including recruitment, training and development, performance management, safety, benefits, payroll administration, and team member relations. The HR Manager leads a team of HR and Administrative professionals and partners closely with organizational leaders to build a high performing, engaged, and safety focused workforce.
Your areas of focus will include, but not be limited to:
- Oversee the full-cycle recruiting process, including sourcing, interviews, and offer letters.
- Develop innovative seasonal hiring plans in collaboration with operational leadership.
- Participate in and analyze compensation surveys to ensure market competitiveness.
- Lead the annual compensation evaluation process.
- Contribute to the organization’s benefits strategy and administer self-funded benefits including annual renewals, enrollment, invoice verification, qualifying event changes, and COBRA administration.
- Oversee weekly payroll processing and serve as backup as needed.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of HR forms, reports, and HRIS data entry.
- Champion safety initiatives and serve as Chairperson of the Safety Committee.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and lead accident reporting and return to work processes.
- Compile, analyze, and interpret safety data and recommend improvements.
- Lead the company’s performance management process.
- Support leadership development and team member growth and development initiatives.
- Partner with leaders to facilitate coaching, feedback, and difficult conversations, including disciplinary actions and employment terminations.
- Oversee onboarding programs.
- Lead the development, coordination, and delivery of training programs.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws.
- Create and maintain employment-related policies.
- Manage team member leaves of absence, including FMLA.
- Act as a team member advocate and promote an environment that motivates and supports team member success.
- Plan and participate in company recognition events.
We believe our Human Resources Manager will need the following to be successful:
- Regular onsite availability Monday through Friday beginning at 6:30am to best support our workforce
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with a minimum of 5+ years of progressive HR experience
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification
- Proven experience designing and implementing HR programs aligned with organizational values and business goals
- Demonstrated success driving continuous improvement initiatives with measurable results
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
- Strong relationship building skills across all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Experience with Innova or UKG HRIS a plus
- Spanish language skills preferred
