Position SummaryResponsible for completing a variety of functions to support the daily operations of the HR department by managing and supporting core HR operations with a strong focus on onboarding, compliance, employee records, payroll support, and regulatory coordination.
Essential Responsibilities Onboarding & Orientation- Coordinate and manage the full onboarding process for all new hires, Students, Interns, and Contracted staff, ensuring a smooth and compliant transition into the organization.
- Maintain and audit new hire documentation to ensure compliance with employment, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
- Provide consistent communication and status updates to hiring managers throughout the onboarding process.
- Serve as a backup facilitator for new hire orientation sessions as needed.
- Provide backup support for recruiting activities, including phone screenings, interview scheduling, and candidate coordination.
- Support employee retention efforts by identifying trends, tracking feedback, and contributing to improvement strategies.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, including conducting and coordinating stay interviews.
- Serve as backup support for payroll processing.
- Act as a backup administrator for FMLA.
- Manage wage garnishments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
- Prepare and submit unemployment documentation and participate in unemployment hearings as needed.
- Support employees with paycheck and benefits-related questions, including new hire benefit explanations.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for employees and managers by providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Maintain employee data accuracy across HR systems, including PCC and Relias, serving as a point of contact for system-related updates and issues.
- Process employee status changes, including transfers, and promotions.
- Coordinate and manage security badge access and employee name tag orders.
- Conduct and track Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks for new hires and annual renewals.
- Track and maintain TB testing compliance lists until completion.
- DOT Compliance Tracking.
- Support internal and external audits through accurate recordkeeping, reporting, and compliance verification.
- Participate in and support special HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Prepare and analyze HR data, metrics, and reports to support workforce planning and decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience.
- Two years of human resources experience preferred.
