Supply Chain Leader​/Material Planner

Responsible for the overall supply chain strategy and materials planning efforts for an OMTV commodity group. Own’s supplier selection, quoting, supplier performance, cost savings goals as well as planning materials for production.

• Drive the success of the OMTV organization through strategic sourcing.
• Strong metal sourcing and/or electronics sourcing experience a plus.
• Maintain material planning activities.
• Initiate and maintain good supplier relationships.
• Release RFPs, review supplier bids, assist with supplier selection, negotiate and execute supplier contracts.
• Assist with planning and implementing risk mitigation actions.
• Assist with planning and implementing supplier quality strategies.
• Implementing supply chain strategies.
• Develop a supply base which creates and sustains a competitive advantage and strategically supports manufacturing.
• Deliver and pick-up purchased product, samples, etc. when necessary.
• Implement cost savings opportunities with existing and new suppliers.
• Help maintain inventory accuracy for purchased products
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering or supply chain.
• 1 – 3 years of purchasing/supply chain experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in metals manufacturing
• Experience with ERP/inventory control systems

• The employee will constantly operate equipment and handle material that requires dexterity, grip, and detection of minute details in materials, tools and/or equipment.
• The employee may be required to ascend/descend and position themselves around equipment, tools, and fixturing.
• The employee must frequently move, lift, and/or transport components, tools, and equipment ranging from 10 – 60 pounds.
• Specific abilities required by this job include the ability to perceive items up close, observe items in the distance, distinguish between colors, and the ability to adjust focus.
