Operations Manager
Holland Charter Township (2024 Est Pop 40,521) seeks an experienced professional for the position of Township Manager. This position serves under the direction of the Township Board and functions as the Township’s chief administrative official. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: implement policies, develop and administer the annual operating budget and 6-year capital improvement plan; manage operational and project improvement contracts;
manage operations, public services, and staff; coordinate Township operations and functions with those of other governmental units and agencies.
Requirements:
Proven fiscal management and budgetary skills; working knowledge of the laws, ordinances, policies and procedures of township government and management; effective oral and written communication skills; ability to establish effective working relationships; supervisory skills to effectively manage daily operations and functions; ability to assess issues and problem solve creatively to enhance overall operations, functions and delivery of quality services.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree desirable) in Public Administration or related field; 5-7 years of experience in local government administration; demonstrated administrative, leadership, organizational, and supervisory experience. Salary range: $152,000-$176,000 depending on qualifications.
