GeneralPurpose
The Sustainability Program Manager leads sustainability initiatives that span multiple teams and business units. Works cross functionally to manage complex programs, align efforts with organizational goals, and drive continuous improvement.
Essential Functions Program Oversight & Execution- Own and lead moderately complex sustainability programs.
- Ensure alignment with strategic objectives and timely delivery.
- Coordinate efforts across departments and suppliers.
- Support cross-functional alignment and change management.
- Manage sustainability systems and tools.
- Implement best practices and process improvements.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Translate sustainability goals into actionable plans.
- Support ESG and compliance reporting.
- Contribute to program documentation and dashboards.
- Mentor junior team members.
- Support team development and performance evaluations.
- Lead departmental initiatives and support strategy execution.
- Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, or related field.
- 4 - 6 years of experience in sustainability or program management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Familiar with sustainability frameworks (LCA, ESG, EPDs).
- Understanding of business operations and sustainability planning.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and environmental reporting standards.
- Experience with sustainability data platforms and tools.
- Manages moderately complex sustainability programs.
- Resolves operational challenges and drives improvements.
Communicates program goals and progress effectively. - Mentors junior staff and contributes to team development.
- Implements best practices and supports change management.
- Influences team-level decisions and supports cross-functional alignment.
