Monday thru Friday 7am to 3pm

Role Summary: As an Assistant Machine Operator, you'll work alongside an experienced Machine Operator and under the guidance of our Converting Production Supervisor to keep production running smoothly.

What You'll Do:

Support daily production to ensure schedules are met safely, efficiently, and on time.

Stack and organize finished products.

Assist Machine Operator with setup, feeding, stacking, and changeovers.

Step in as an Operator when needed.

Help ensure products meet customer specifications for quality and accuracy.

Follow preventative maintenance schedules.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Contribute ideas for continuous improvement.

Occasionally operate powered industrial equipment (hilo).

Follow all safety and quality programs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for an extended number of hours per shift, walk, bend, twist, stoop, squat, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.

The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.

The employee is required to reach with fingers, hands, and arms.

Must be able to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions.

The employee must regularly lift, push or pull and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

• The job is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, varying temperatures, and moving mechanical parts.
• Safety gear must be worn as required.

What You'll Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Ability to lift, bend, stand and twist over a long periods of time.
• Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational and motivational skills.
• Ability to maintain diplomacy, confidentiality and tact essential, as individual has access to high levels of cost, design and company sensitive materials.
• Must be able to work with frequently changing priorities.
