Position: Forklift (Hilo) Driver

Job Overview

We are currently hiring for forklift drivers on second shift. This person is responsible for unloading raw materials from trucks, supplying production departments with materials and ingredients as required via lift truck, removing finished goods from production areas, placing raw materials and finished goods in proper storage areas, and loading finished goods on trucks.

Responsibilities

& Duties
  • Work in a safe manner, following all general safety rules of the plant, including PPE requirements.
  • Escalate safety defects and concerns to leads/supervisors.
  • Ensure we meet or exceed quality standards: follow GMP requirements, inspect raw materials and finished goods, complete quality documentation, and assist in rework as assigned.
  • Support production lines, including checking equipment prior to operation and completing daily operating/safety checklists (electronic).
  • Supply production with materials and ingredients, place ingredients and materials into storage, and maintain general upkeep of equipment.
  • Report damage or necessary repairs; operate lift equipment with care to prevent damage or injury.
  • Rank and deliver stock to proper locations; be familiar with the plant layout for correct delivery.
  • Keep records, hand stack pallets, move heavy pallets as required, and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and perform responsibilities in compliance with GMPs.
  • Support Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS) activities, including Shift Hand Offs, Level 1 Meetings, Performance Boards, 5S, Defect Handling, and cross-functional work with support departments to improve line performance.
Qualifications
  • On hire training to become Lock Out Tag Out certified and maintain qualification.
  • Must successfully complete on-the-job training and maintain operator qualification.
  • Must qualify for and maintain Forklift License (medical and safe driving record).
  • Must be able to use SAP to log/track inventory movements.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.

Work Schedule
  • Second Shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM), Monday – Friday, with a $1.25 shift differential
  • Ability to work all shifts as required by training needs
  • Ability to work daily overtime and weekend overtime as needed

  • Holland Plant has been around since 1897; products produced include sweet relish, Grey Poupon mustard, yellow mustard, vinegar, pickle variations, BBQ sauce

Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. May lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and 50–100 pounds occasionally with assistance.
