Train on First Shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00am-3:30pm) then transition to Weekend Third Shift (Sun, Fri, Sat, 6:00pm-6:00am).
JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/ObjectiveThe CNC machinist operates computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. The CNC machinist performs set up tasks, loads parts in the machine, cycles machine and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The position runs production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding production runs, and maintains a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
Essential Functions- Recognizes and loads correct tooling into lathe, mill, or 5-axis.
- Describes correct tool data from set up sheet.
- Teaches tool offsets.
- Loads fixtures or work holding.
- Sets up and edits bar feeder when applicable.
- Finds workpiece coordinates.
- Cycles and measures first piece.
- Completes and maintains paperwork for parts.
- Mathematical skills.
- Mechanical capacity.
- Technical capacity.
Time management.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or graduation from a certified technical school.
- Minimum three years of related experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.

- Mazak milling and turning centers using Fusion.
- Matrix or Matrix II controls (Mazatrol and G-Code programming).
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud and hearing protection is required.
Physical DemandsFrequent standing, walking, use of hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee will need to lift up to 50 lbs.
