Responsibilities
  • Manage in a highly effective way the productive and financial resources in all aspects of the operation, guaranteeing strict adherence to the budget and continuous improvement that positively impacts SQDCM indicators.
  • Responsible for the production related to a particular Business Unit technology (unit).
  • Ensure that products are produced on time, are of good quality, and meet or exceed all customer and company standards.
  • Enforce quality and delivery reliability.
  • Enforce a strong safety and environmental culture at the manufacturing site by applying the respective regulations.
  • Ensure that planned KPI targets are met or exceeded.
  • Identify and solve problems affecting production throughput, quality, or cost performance to optimize manpower and equipment efficiency and utilization.
  • Drive continuous improvement through implementation of BOSLE principles and best practices.
  • Initiate the implementation of technical innovations and be responsible for the project launch in the plant.
  • Enforce APQP practices and other upfront engineering activities to ensure good launches and disciplined engineering change performance.
  • Ensure that rigorous predictive and preventive maintenance practices are employed to increase efficiency and extend the useful life of capital equipment.
  • Maintain compliance with all corporate policies and relevant governmental regulations.
  • Support/advise sales and Business Units concerning technical inquiries.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel training/performance records.
  • Prepare budgets and approve expenditures for operating supplies, and human resources, to ensure efficient use of materials, labor and equipment to meet production targets in accordance with the harmonized organization structure.
  • Promote a respectful work environment and recruit, develop and retain human resources, maintaining a qualified, motivated and productive workforce. Lead by example and live up to Benteler’s mission, values and global leadership principles. Use standard HR tools such as the appraisal process to provide regular feedback and agree on tasks and goals with respective employees.
  • Provide support to all activities assigned by the direct supervisor.
  • Authorize expenses related to maintenance, production and process improvements.
  • Authorize the extra time required for the assembly area.
  • Maintain the number of employees in the area in accordance with the budget plan.
