Job Description
A Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machines that are used for the manufacture of finished goods. The machines operate at rates ranging from 100 units per minute to 250+ units per minute. The work environment is very fast paced and requires a high degree of attentiveness and the ability to react quickly to workplace variables.
In addition to operating machines, operators will have duties and responsibilities as outlined below.
Schedule:
2nd Shift Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:00pm
Shift Premium: $1.00/hour
This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.
Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s staff, employees, and business relationships.
Responsibilities- Operate equipment following work order instructions and PPE guidelines.
- Operate all machines on the lines such as but not limited to box formers, drop packers, tippers, fillers, palletizers, depalletizers, Krones Labeler, B&H Labeler, etc.
- Perform changeovers as required.
- Maintain and keep current all hourly monitors, SPC, ISO, equipment downtime and all other reports as required.
- Dispose of waste products as defined by company guidelines.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Have at least one (1) year of work experience operating machinery in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
- Have at least one (1) year of work experience operating packaging equipment such as robotics, filling machines, case packers, or labelers, etc.
- Have at least one (1) year of work experience monitoring the quality of raw materials and/or finished goods
- Have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu‑hoists, drum dollys, conveyor belts, etc.)
