1ST SHIFT MATERIAL HANDLER/DISTRIBUTION CLERK
Loading... The distribution clerk position coordinates receiving, documentation, and internal allocation of delivered components. The material handler/distribution clerk manages inventory through database and maintain levels required on a daily basis to meet distribution and manufacturing demands.
Essential Functions- Receive all material, chemicals and supplies.
- Ship finished product or product requiring sublet operations.
- Verify shipments against purchase orders and examine upon arrival.
- Prepare items for shipment to customers and/or return to supplier.
- Maintain record keeping systems and mark material with part numbers, date and lot codes, revisions, etc.
- Implement shipping and receiving procedures per supervisor’s direction.
- Enter data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments.
- Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing supervisors.
- Prepare monthly reports for cycle count and pick-lists count for monthly highlights.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing frequently. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 40 hours per week.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- Minimum of a high school education and one year of factory-related experience in shipping and/or receiving.
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.

- Previous operation of forklift
