Role Description The Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist is a full-time, on-site role based in Holland, MI. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Daily tasks include interpreting blueprints, selecting appropriate tooling, performing machine offsets, and verifying dimensions using measurement tools. The CNC Machinist will inspect parts for quality, maintain equipment cleanliness and safety, and collaborate with team members to resolve machining challenges.
The role also involves documenting production activities, following shop standards and safety procedures, and supporting continuous improvement in machining processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Machine Operation and Machinery, including safe setup, operation, and basic maintenance of CNC equipment.
- Candidates should possess skills in Machining and Milling, with experience producing precision parts and working to tight tolerances.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control, including dimensional inspection, use of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges), and adherence to quality standards.
- Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and CNC programs (G-code) is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to workplace safety are required.
- Prior experience as a CNC machinist in a job shop or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Relevant technical training or certification in machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field is an asset.
