Pattern Department Manager – Fogg Filler
We are seeking a Pattern Department Manager to lead employees who manufacture Fogg Filler machines, including change parts and manufactured parts made for FOGG equipment, maintaining quality and efficiency in the pattern department.
Key Responsibilities- Meet weekly with Plant Manager to review schedules and discuss tools/parts requirements.
- Handle traditional management duties while contributing to day‑to‑day operations with subordinates.
- Review daily production schedule and work responsibilities with each employee to ensure seamless manufacturing of FOGG machines and/or equipment.
- Organize and schedule jobs on a priority basis (capital, aftermarket, warranty work).
- Monitor workflow ensuring daily production schedules are being met.
- Conduct design reviews on each order/project before release for production.
- Ensure change part information is accurately filled and routed to the Machine File.
- Provide verbal/written feedback on engineering, manufacturing, or routing problems with parts and/or equipment.
- Manage, review, and approve engineering changes in Fogg's ERP system.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness of work area by performing daily housekeeping duties.
- Work directly with aftermarket parts team / LCM to address customer requests and support service team during field installations.
- Track material stock and hardware for assembling change parts.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external customers as needed; occasional travel may be required.
- Bachelor of Science in engineering discipline or equivalent (preferred).
- 3+ years of engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with Solid Works or equivalent CAD software (required).
- Good manual dexterity and strong communication skills.
- Computer proficiency.
