What You'll Do:
- Apply gelcoat, varnish, or other protective and aesthetic coatings using spray guns and other equipment
- Prepare surfaces through sanding, cleaning, and masking to ensure ideal conditions for finishing
- Inspect and blend finishes to ensure even color, texture, and coverage
- Buff and polish surfaces to achieve a smooth, high-gloss final result
- Mix materials and adjust spray equipment settings to meet quality standards
- Follow all safety protocols when handling chemicals, PPE, and ventilation
- Maintain tools and workspace for consistent quality and cleanliness
What It Takes:
- Experience with spray equipment, buffers, and other finishing tools
- Ability to identify surface flaws and make fine adjustments for best results
- Steady hand, attention to detail, and pride in delivering a perfect finish
- Physical ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Familiarity with gelcoat, paint, or similar coatings in marine or automotive environments preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to support smooth production flow
