Summary:

* Job Responsibilities:
**** TERMS OF APPRENTICESHIP:
*** The apprenticeship program is designed to be completed over four (4) years and includes 8,000 hours of on-the-job learning (OJL), supplemented by a minimum of 144 hours of related technical instruction annually, which may include one to two college courses per year.
* Candidates with prior related technical training, college coursework, apprenticeship experience, or documented OJL hours may be eligible to receive credit toward certain apprenticeship requirements. Any such credit will be evaluated in accordance with program guidelines and may impact the overall program timeline.
* Every applicant selected for apprenticeship will serve a probationary period of 25% of the term length of the occupation.
* During the apprenticeship program, the apprentice shall receive work experience and job-related training in all phases of the occupation, including safe work practices, necessary to develop the skill and proficiency of a skilled professional.
* Magna Engineered Glass and Program Sponsor/Apprenticeship Works committee will ensure apprentices are rotated throughout the various work processes to ensure a well-rounded professional upon completion of the apprenticeship and will provide a learning management system to track progression of on-the-job and related training.
* On-the-job training shall be carried out under supervision of a qualified professional.
* Additional information about the program, the apprenticeship standards (Appendix
A), and the EEO complaint procedure will be made available to all interested applicants upon request.
* Successful completion of the apprenticeship program includes a two (2) year post-completion employment commitment. Should an employee voluntarily terminate employment within twenty-four (24) months following program completion, repayment of a prorated portion of apprenticeship-related costs may be required under the terms of the applicable Apprenticeship Repayment Agreement and in accordance with applicable laws.
** WORK SCHEDULE EXPECTATIONS:
*** Must be able to work assigned shifts, including overtime, weekends, holidays, or alternative schedules as business needs require
* Must maintain satisfactory attendance throughout the apprenticeship program
* Related classroom instruction may occur outside of regular working hours
* Schedule flexibility may be required to complete training rotations and developmental assignments

* JOB SUMMARY:
** The Tool & Die Maker Apprentice participates in a structured four-year registered apprenticeship program designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to become a skilled Tool & Die Maker. Under the supervision of qualified Tool & Die Makers and manufacturing professionals, the apprentice will learn to build, repair, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve molds, dies, tools, fixtures, and precision components used in manufacturing operations.
The apprentice will receive progressive on-the-job training and related classroom instruction in machining, blueprint reading, measuring systems, metallurgy, CNC machining, tool building, die assembly, safety practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.

* Maintain clean and organized work areas using 5S and housekeeping standards.
