Position Title: Freezer Material Handler – 1st Shift
Department: Manufacturing
Hours: 5:30am – shift end (hours may vary)
Schedule: Monday – Friday + Saturdays
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour + $1.00/hour Freezer Premium
Location: Holland, Michigan

Essential Responsibilities:
Primary function is to timely and accurately service the production lines with material requests for both raw materials as well as finished product.

• Work the majority of the day in the freezer environment (-10deg
  
  F)
• Responsible for the accurate picking and recording of production orders and the generation of the appropriate paperwork.
• Using computer terminal to look up inventory information.
• May assist with the proper unloading and storage of received material and ingredients when called upon.
• Maintain cleanliness of dry storage, cooler and dock areas.
• Ensures all safety procedures are followed for forklift operations, product and ingredient storage (including load capacity), and other work practices to avoid and eliminate workplace hazards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Key

Qualifications:

• One to three months of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Good organizational skills and detail oriented.
• Forklift certified or ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Stand-up for lift experience.
• Proficient math and computer skills

Physical Demands: This role requires a high level of physical activity, including:

• Extensive walking and standing
• Lifting up to 50 lbs

Work Environment: Different climates – such as dry storage, cooler, freezer
