What You'll Do

As an Engineering Technician, you'll provide hands‑on engineering and technical support to achieve daily production goals and drive continuous improvement.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Troubleshooting equipment breakdowns and leading problem‑solving activities
  • Monitoring machine operation, diagnosing equipment and process issues, and making machine adjustments
  • Leading line changeovers and verifying proper machine function and product quality
  • Confirming machine and process parameters meet established standards
  • Supporting continuous improvement efforts to ensure equipment and processes operate at their designed performance levels
  • Collecting and analyzing data, inspecting products and processes, conducting tests, and documenting results
  • Supporting engineers with corrective actions and production problem‑solving
  • Identifying root causes of quality and process issues and implementing corrective actions
  • Monitoring SPC systems and responding to process flags
  • Monitoring the Recipe Management System (RMS), responding to alerts, and verifying machine settings
  • Managing hold material, including tracking, reviewing, documenting, and ensuring appropriate yield impact
  • Leading the First Production Inspection (FPI) process and documentation
  • Running queries and using production data to troubleshoot issues and keep equipment running properly
  • Writing reports documenting daily machine activity, equipment issues, and improvement actions
  • Helping develop methods, tools, and devices to prevent and control process issues
Training & Documentation

You'll also play an important role in developing our technical capabilities and maintaining manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing advanced technical training to Operator Tech II and III employees
  • Developing troubleshooting guides and training materials
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining:
    • Work Instructions
    • Work Standards
    • PFMEAs
    • Control Plans
    • Process Flow Diagrams
    • Troubleshooting Guides
    • Quality Alerts
    • Change Orders
    • One Point Lessons (OPLs)
    • Visual Standards
  • Following and documenting 4M changes
  • Communicating effectively with engineering, quality, production, maintenance, and other departments across shifts
What We're Looking For

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3–6+ years of manufacturing experience or equivalent technical experience
  • Experience supporting manufacturing production lines
  • Experience using hand tools in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, particularly during off‑hours and on 2nd or 3rd shift
  • Ability to recognize when an issue requires escalation and communicate effectively with the appropriate team

Preferred:

  • Vocational/technical certificate or Associate Degree
  • Experience as a Technician II or III, or equivalent experience
  • HMI experience
  • Vision system experience
