Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for quality of product before final shipment
• Continuous improvement in support of department and company goals
• Supports, participates and encourages team building
• Provides feedback, both positive and negative, to the team, other related departments, and the supervisor
• Promotes a positive work environment
• To follow all of Porter Corp's procedures and policies
• Work safely and efficiently
• Operating a break press, Shears, Punch, and various other machines/equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

• This position requires a knowledge of basic sheet metal working methods to ensure a quality product is delivered to all customers
• Work requires a high school diploma or equivalent

This position requires minimal to no travel

Computer Skills

• Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems

Other Requirements

• Knowledge of Press Breaks, Shears and assorted hand tools (preferred)
• Very good interpersonal skills
• Must be open-minded to new ideas and concepts
• Possesses very good problem-solving skills
  
  Must be self-motivated and results oriented

Other Skills

• Safe and efficient packaging of finished goods to minimize damage
• Accuracy and completeness of packaged goods shipped to customer
