TRAINING IS REQUIRED ON FIRST SHIFT 7-3:30PM (PAY IS $17 WHILE ON FIRST) M-F AND MOVED TO SECOND SHIFT 3:00PM-1:30AM M-TH (PAY IS INCREASED TO $19/HOUR)

Summary/Objective

The CNC machinist operates computer numerical control machines to produce parts. The CNC
machinist loads inputs into the machine, cycles machine and detects malfunctions in machine
operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The position runs production lots,
communicates with co-workers regarding productions runs, and maintains a safe, organized and
clean work environment.

Creates part identification tags

Recognizes and loads correct tooling into lathe, mill, or 5-axis machine

Describes correct tool data from set up sheet

Teach tool offsets

Loads fixtures/work holding

Checks parts for conformance

Completes and maintains paperwork and digital records for jobs.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving
mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud and
hearing protection is required.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use
hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

The employee will need to lift up to 50lbs.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, 8-10 hours per day (depending on schedule) with overtime as
needed to meet production schedules. Training is required on first shift for a few weeks before moving to second.

Required

Education and Experience

High school diploma or graduation from a certified technical school

One year experience in manufacturing environment

Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools, or capacity to be trained to do so

Preferred

Education and Experience

Two years of related experience

Mazak milling and turning centers using Fusion

Matrix or Matrix II controls (Mazatrol and G-Code programming)

Open to entry level candidates who can read calipers and gauges (entry level with a solid work history)
