Product Engineering Leader : Hard Tissue Implants : Maching & Milling Solutions

The Mullings Group is partnering with a fast rising medtech solutions partner in the hard tissue implant space to find a technically elite, hands-on engineering leader spearheading concept design from white paper sketching to production.

This is not a conventional management role. You will personally develop and prove machining strategies for highly complex spinal and extremity implants on advanced Hermle 5-axis milling and Traub turning platforms, then build and lead a dedicated engineering team as the department grows.

• Standing up our client s engineering lab from scratch: facility layout, machine selection, and workflow development
• Proving out machining strategies for difficult geometries and demanding tolerances
• Fixture development, cutting strategy optimization, and cycle time improvement
• Transitioning development projects into serial production
• Building and mentoring a high-performance engineering team over time

• 5 to 10 years in advanced CNC machining, manufacturing engineering, or orthopedic implant manufacturing
• Hands-on expertise with 5-axis milling (Hermle preferred) and precision turning (Traub or Swiss-style preferred)
• Experience machining titanium, cobalt chrome, and stainless orthopedic implants
• Spine and extremities manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Strong grasp of DFM, work holding, fixturing, and process optimization
• Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Precision Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
• An entrepreneurial builder who thrives with autonomy in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
