Work is performed both at the Holland facility and on-site with customers throughout West Michigan and beyond.

Role Description

The Machine Builder role is a full-time, on-site position based in Holland, MI. This role is responsible for assembling custom automated equipment using mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical documentation, performing mechanical assembly, operating and maintaining machinery, and using hand and power tools safely and effectively. The Machine Builder will assist with installation and startup at the Holland facility and customer sites, as well as troubleshooting and debugging equipment to ensure proper functionality.

The role involves close collaboration with a small team, clear communication with project leads, adherence to safety standards, and consistent attention to quality and detail.

Qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely for precision mechanical work.
  • Experience working with machinery and performing mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems is beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug equipment.
  • Dependable work habits, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work on-site, occasionally at customer locations, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Prior experience in machine building, automation, or industrial manufacturing is preferred; relevant technical training or apprenticeship is a plus.
