Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Psychiatric Unit

Shift: Nights | 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week | Every 3rd Weekend Required

We are seeking an experienced Travel Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) for an 8-week assignment in Holland, MI. This role is ideal for a confident, adaptable nurse who has prior experience in a locked psychiatric unit and can quickly integrate into a fast-paced behavioral health environment.

You will play a critical role in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining safety and therapeutic standards within the unit.

Provide direct nursing care to patients with psychiatric and behavioral health conditions

Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment, including ligature safety awareness

Monitor patient status, administer medications, and respond to behavioral crises

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists

Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge planning

Adhere to hospital policies, patient rights, and safety standards

Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program

Active Michigan RN License (or obtained by end of orientation)

Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (or obtained within 60 days of hire)

Mandatory: Recent experience in a locked psychiatric unit

Ability to work independently and “hit the ground running”
