Time is our most precious gift. Share your gift with a Hospice patient.
Time is limited, yet of eternal value. What makes it so is how you use it and to whom you give it. Share your gift of time with a patient on their end-of-life journey. No special skills are necessary, just a listening ear and an open heart. It will be some of the most rewarding time you’ll ever spend.
Elara Caring Hospice is currently looking for Volunteers Companion Volunteers, Pet Therapy, Veteran Volunteers, Office Volunteers, and Crafting Volunteers. We have patients in need in outlying areas as well as the Grand Rapids Area. These areas include Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Wayland/ Hastings, Greenville, Rockford, Holland, and Saugatuck/Douglas.
Comfort Through MusicIf you love to sing or play an instrument, you can share music with a hospice patient in a local nursing facility or a patient’s home. This opportunity is especially appealing to music lovers and music therapy students. We typically ask that you visit your assigned patient 1-2 hours per week.
