Job Responsibilities- Perform product testing using a variety of methods.
- Audit products to ensure system compliance with customer requirements/specifications.
- Use and understand SPC applications.
- Issue and maintain activities relating to corrective and/or preventative action.
- Provide input on causes or reasons for quality problems and recommend process changes if necessary.
- Assist in and/or lead customer-driven root cause analysis processes (i.e. DCAR & 8D).
- Visually inspect customer part returns and determine disposition on any non-conforming product (i.e. Company or customer origin).
- Gather and summarize data for monthly quality reports.
- Perform other duties as necessary including providing product launch support to Quality Engineers.
- Properly handle and dispose of any hazardous waste material in respective area.
- Monitor performance trends, identify specific failure modes and provide reports on trends.
- Provide competitive analysis for warranty sharing agreements.
- Identify cause of failures and determine appropriateness of warranty part replacement.
- Alert task team of failure and initiate immediate shipment of replacement part.
- Work closely with customer to assure customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate return of failed part from customer, and forward part to Advanced Engineering for failure analysis.
- Maintain tracking system of warranty replacement parts.
