Allow your creativity to show through as you prepare meals for seniors k with a talented group of cooks that shares your creative style and quality. Provide well balanced meals based on current menu’s at each of our locations.

• Prepare high-quality meals for residents.
• Proper plating of meals served.
• Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Work with supervisors to create menu changes, resident preference adjustments and special events.
• Promote a great atmosphere in the kitchen while providing superb quality.
• Work collaboratively with employees to create a culture that promotes teamwork.
• Be a positive role model with ability to train prep cooks and dietary aides.
• Take temperatures of hot foods prior to mealtimes and record on production sheets.
• Open or close kitchen. Put food away, date items, label all leftovers as well as lock or unlock refrigerator, freezer and stockroom.
• Follow all proper safety and sanitation guidelines as described by organization and health department standards.
• Maintain a professional and courteous approach with the residents.
• Understand and support Resthaven policies and procedures.
• Assumes all other position related responsibilities as assigned.

• Ability to obtain Serve Safe Certification.
• Potential for sudden extreme changes in temperature. Employees are subject to burns, cuts and the possibility of falls on slippery floors.
