Deli Lead

Spartan Nash Associates, LLC is seeking a Deli Lead to oversee daily deli operations in a high-volume retail grocery setting. You will lead a small team, ensure fresh, high quality products, and maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards. Responsibilities include prepping and merchandising deli items, managing inventory and shrink, setting up displays, and monitoring temperatures and product rotation. You'll train and schedule associates, resolve guest issues, and uphold Spartan Nash's people first, values driven culture while driving sales and an outstanding in store experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day deli operations in a retail grocery environment
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and labeling standards
• Prepare, slice, and merchandise deli meats, cheeses, and prepared foods
• Monitor product quality, rotation, and case presentation to drive sales
• Manage inventory, ordering, and shrink control for the deli department
• Train, coach, and schedule deli associates for effective coverage
• Provide friendly, solutions-focused customer service at the deli counter
• Operate and oversee slicers, ovens, fryers, and other deli equipment safely
• Maintain accurate signage, pricing, and promotional displays
• Support Spartan
