Harbor Steel is looking for a driven, relationship-focused Account Executive to help grow our presence across West Michigan, including Grand Rapids, Muskegon, and Holland. This is an outside sales role built around relationships, problem‑solving, and helping customers succeed. We’re looking for someone who enjoys meeting people, building trust, and creating long‑term partnerships. You do not need decades of experience to be successful here — but some sales, business development, customer‑facing, or industrial experience is helpful.

Experience in steel, metals, manufacturing, or industrial distribution is a major plus.

• Develop and grow relationships with existing customers throughout West Michigan
• Prospect and build new business opportunities in manufacturing and industrial markets
• Visit customer facilities to understand their operations and needs
• Collaborate with inside sales and operations teams to deliver excellent customer service
• Identify opportunities to expand Harbor Steel’s market presence
• Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback
• Manage your territory with professionalism, responsiveness, and follow‑through

• Prior experience in sales, customer service, account management, or business development preferred
• Industrial, manufacturing, metals, or steel experience is a plus — but not required
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
• Self‑motivated with the ability to manage time and priorities independently
• Comfortable meeting with customers and spending time in the field
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
