Market Leader

Michigan Farm Bureau seeks a Market Leader to grow membership, insurance, and member-service presence within key rural markets. In this role, you will develop territory strategies, build relationships with farmers and local leaders, and coordinate outreach, events, and education that align with our mission. The Market Leader supports grassroots advocacy, guides local teams toward sales and engagement goals, uses data to target opportunities, and partners with internal departments and county Farm Bureaus to strengthen Michigan agriculture and rural communities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute territory plans to grow membership and insurance-related business
• Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agribusinesses, and community partners
• Coordinate local outreach, events, and educational programs to drive engagement
• Support grassroots advocacy and policy initiatives at the community level
• Analyze market data to identify growth opportunities and track performance
• Collaborate with county Farm Bureaus and internal departments to align strategies
• Coach and support local teams or agents toward sales and service goals
• Represent Michigan Farm Bureau at industry, community, and member events
• Prepare reports and forecasts on territory results and opportunities
• Ensure activities reflect the organization's mission, integrity, and member-focus
